\'Shoulder to Shoulder\' album

DJ

‘Shoulder’ is sexy, musical techno, with a live bassline and a nagging sax solo complementing Envoy’s string-led grooves and dreamy vocals.

UPDATE 27.4.04

Envoy are back with another winner, possibly being their best release to date.
The forthcoming album ‘Shoulder 2 Shoulder’ is due at the end of May, and if this single is anything to go by, it’s gonna be in those end of year lists.

NIGHT MOVES

DJ MAGAZINE / TECH HOUSE section
Big fat bass, cheeky acid and that all-important heads down old school vibe are present and correct. An undeniable tune and one that the likes of Slam, Garnier and the quality techno crew will love to bits.5/5 SUREPLAYER

DJ MAGAZINE / TECHNO section
Hope Grant\'s second album has been a long time coming, but if it\'s anywhere as good as this single, it\'ll have been worth the wait. This is as moody as a bunch of weed starved junglists, which is a complement by the way. 4,5/5

SUNDAY MAIL
An 80\'s remake and underground smash in the making.

JUICE MAGAZINE
The Somaster of sleazy funk fuelled techno returns once more with the sublime acid classic ‘Night Moves’. Originally a track by rickster from the late 80’s when all good things were about acid 9ahem), Hope Grant gives it a kiss of life and a breath of fresh air. A beauty then and more so now, with Envoy making it tougher, funkier and a downright dirty devil of a tune.

IDJ / Tech house section
Sleazed up to the max with an acid bassline so bouncy it’ll have plastic surgeons reaching for their manuals. Impossible not to like and set to rip up floors for months to come.

IDJ / House section
‘Night Moves’ is a clever remake that suit’s today’s dance crowds that cling to the dirty underground sound. Love it to bits.

M8 / Deepgroove House Page
We must say that this track hasn\'t left the turntables from the moment we first heard it. It rocks. Basically, it\'s a fast moving techy number with crisp drums and wide, very fat, square-wave synths that twist and turn more than an eel down your pants. There is a warm bouncing bass and late eighties male vocal. Apparently this is an update on a classic track by Rickster, but it has catapulted it to the dirty edge of the underground. A really fresh record and one you should definitely swap your Panini football stickers for. M8/M8
